Welcome to Regional Institute of Education (RIE) Bhopal

Regional Institute of Education (RIE), Bhopal is a constituent unit of NCERT, New Delhi. The Institute looks after teacher education and other educational requirements of the States of Chhattisgarh, Goa, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra and UTs of Dadra and Nagar Haveli and Daman and Diu.

The Regional Institute of Education, Bhopal has established itself as an institute of repute in the area of school and teacher education. The institute has endeavoured to shoulder the responsibilities and challenges generated by changes in the educational scenario of the country and the western region. The Institute has been functioning as Regional Institute of Education since 1995, following a major shift in its focus from pre-service education to in-service education. The pre-service teacher education programmes of the institute are affiliated to the Barkatullah University Bhopal.

The Institute is located at Shyamla Hills and is 7 Kms away from both Bhopal and Habibganj railway station and about 20 Kms from Raja Bhoj Airport, Bhopal.
